About Daniel Arsham

Daniel Arsham’s multidisciplinary art combines art, architecture and performance. His debut series, Future Relic, consist of 9 sculptural works that anticipate increasingly obsolescent technologies—such as cassettes, boomboxes and landline telephones. Each of the Nine pieces in the present set comes in its original custom box, in which the pieces have been kept since they were acquired by the present owner. It consists of nine short films that depict a future civilization before and after Earth undergoes major ecological changes. The series also includes sculptures of petrified twentieth-century media artifacts constructed to look like artifacts decaying from obsolescence.
